The craze right now seems to be the keto diet, so I decided to give a try and been at it for the past few weeks. I have to say so far it is going really good and I have lost some weight already. I am slowly but surely cutting carbs out of my diet and not jumping just full force into eating only 20g carbs daily. I didn’t want to get the keto flu or the carb flu, so this was the best way to try to avoid or minimize it. Keto is a diet that can be hard on your body at first but in the end is worth it. The freedom to eat less, burn fat, and have lots of energy – heck why not try it? I have seen a lot of people around me try it with great success, and I wanted to get in on the action! Right now I am eating mostly fat, protein, and a small number of carbs. There are all different ways to go about the keto diet as I have learned myself. I have heard people call it strict keto, lazy keto, and dirty keto. I figure to pick one style that works best for you and your body. Everyone out there handles things differently.
When I started, I added myself to many keto groups on facebook and did a lot of research. It was hard to start, but I stayed motivated. I began to become less hungry and was super excited to notice that I did crave carbs anymore. Did I get a sweet tooth sometimes? YES! So I started looking into fat bombs. These are recipes that help you get your daily allowance of fat grams all while getting a dessert to conquer those sweet cravings! I have tried a couple that I wasn’t overly impressed with but then decided some that I love and make weekly.
